MASTER'S IN PUBLIC HEALTH

The Master of Public Health (MPH, MS) is a 1 - 2 year program, with both thesis- and non-thesis option, that prepares graduates through multidisciplinary approaches to apply the latest scientific knowledge, common sense, and teamwork to solve important health problems and is appropriate to individuals who seek to pursue careers as educators, researchers, service leaders, and consultants in the prevention of disease and the promotion of health in the local, national, and international communities. This degree is typically open to applicants with a first degree in a health related field, or with experience or an approved degree in an allied field acceptable to the department.

Master's students in public health can pursue graduate public health majors in a broad range of fields of study such as
Grad Source Applied Biostatistics

Part- and full-time study options, along with various delivery modes - residential programs, distance education programs and online programs - are also available. North American Master's programs in public health welcome foreign students. However, fluency in spoken and written English is critically important.
